The Holy Spirit used this class to challenge me on how I conducted ministry. I thought I knew my community and that I was involved; however, my previous success in being engaged and building relationships established a solid foundation for greater influence, largely due to the title “chaplain.” The training provided me with essential tools to fulfill the role of a chaplain while enhancing my role as a pastor. I look forward to further training now that I have been exposed to real-life needs.

I realized that this opportunity to become a Community Chaplain wasn’t just a random call from my network office; it was the hand of God opening more doors to those who may not attend my church. Chaplaincy, as the ministry of presence, has given me a greater presence in my community, not just my church. I’m excited to see the harvest that is to come to the glory of God.
